The Sanitaire cord lock (Part #76225355N) is a replacement strain-relief piece for N/S 888 and 886 series Eureka and Sanitaire uprights. It clamps the power cord where it enters the vacuum body so the cord cannot pull free or flex against the housing edge.
When a cord lock cracks or loosens, the cord takes strain directly at the entry point, which leads to fraying, intermittent power, and eventually bare wires. Fitting a sound cord lock again anchors the cord and protects it from the repeated bending that shortens its life.

- Function: Secures and provides strain relief for the power cord
