Eureka Victory Series Rear Axle

A Sanitaire commercial upright that tracks crooked, or one where a back wheel has developed play, often has a bent or worn rear axle rather than a bad wheel. Part number 38590A replaces that axle on the Eureka and Sanitaire Victory Series line and a number of related commercial uprights.

Both rear wheels hang off this axle, and a commercial machine puts it through real abuse over time: repeated trips up and down stairs, drops off curbs and loading-dock edges, and the weight of the machine riding on it every hour it is in use. Once the axle bends, the machine tracks unevenly and grinds at the wheel hubs; once it wears at the mounting points, the wheels pick up play and rock from side to side.
