This kit replaces the rear axle, both rear wheels, and the mounting hardware together on Eureka and Sanitaire 899-family commercial uprights, part number 60161, rather than requiring the axle and wheels to be ordered separately.
Worn wheels and a bent or loose axle tend to show up together on a machine that has seen years of commercial use: the vacuum rolls unevenly, drags rather than gliding, and can mark hard floors where a wheel has flattened or a bearing has worn loose. Replacing the whole assembly at once resets all three parts to a matched, even fit instead of pairing a new wheel with an axle that is already slightly bent, which just wears the new wheel unevenly too.
