Every ounce of steering force an operator applies to a commercial upright passes through the handle shift after shift, and on machines built for daily commercial duty it is frequently the first component to show wear under that load.
Cracks tend to appear where the grip meets the shaft, or down at the lower pivot, and once movement develops there the machine starts wandering off a straight line because the operator is steering through a part that flexes rather than holds firm. Working close to furniture edges gets harder, and by the end of a shift the extra effort shows up in the operator's wrist.
Part 2532944SV is the direct replacement upper handle, built originally for the Sanitaire SC899 and shared across a broad run of Eureka and Sanitaire commercial siblings: the 2122A, 2124A, C2094G, C2094G1, C2094G2, C2094G3, C2094H, C2094H1, C2095A, SC679J, SC684F, SC688, SC689A, SL635A and SL635B.
Inspect the hardware at the lower pivot before assuming the handle itself is at fault, a loosened bolt there mimics the same wander a cracked handle produces. And a handle that has already split once and been held together with tape tends to give out again at the identical spot once that tape lets go mid-shift.
