Ten thin washers to a pack, part 53110, sit between a wheel and its mount on Eureka and Sanitaire commercial uprights, letting the wheel turn against a flat bearing surface rather than grinding directly on the frame around it.
The washer is small, easy to misplace whenever a wheel comes off for service, and a machine missing one tells on itself fast: the wheel picks up play against its axle, tilts slightly off square, and begins chewing into the housing or the retaining nut behind it. On a hard floor that turns into a scraping sound and rolling that no longer feels smooth.
Specified fitment covers SC684F, SC688, SC886F, SC886G, SC899G, sold under both the Eureka and Sanitaire nameplates. Order enough washers to cover every wheel on the job at once rather than one at a time, thickness matters more here than it looks like it should, and a slightly thin substitute leaves the wheel sitting a hair off center, restarting the same chewing wear within a season of regular use.
