This is the brush nozzle motor for Hoover's HVRPWR commercial uprights, and it is supplied complete with its control board. The part number is 440016587.
The nozzle motor drives the brush roll rather than the suction fan, so its failure looks different from a main motor failure. The vacuum still pulls air and still fills the bag, but the roll refuses to turn, stalls under load in deep pile, or stops and restarts as the machine is pushed. A burning smell coming from the nozzle rather than from the body of the machine points the same way.
Because the board comes with it, you are not left diagnosing whether the fault sat in the motor or in the electronics driving it. It fits the Hoover CH90600 and CH91600. Unplug the machine before starting, and pass the work to a technician if you would rather not open the nozzle.
