Part AH51000 is the brush roll for the Hoover CH90600 and CH91600 commercial uprights — the full roller, bristles and all, rather than a strip insert.
Brush rolls wear out quietly on a commercial machine because they wear evenly. The bristles shorten a millimetre at a time until they are only brushing the tips of the carpet pile, and the machine goes on sounding exactly as it always did. What changes is the result: traffic lanes stop coming up, pet hair stays woven into the pile, and the vacuum needs three passes where it used to need one.
The quick test is to lay a straightedge across the roller. If the bristles no longer stand proud of it, they are not reaching the carpet either. Fit the new roller in the original mounts, and put a fresh belt on at the same time, since an old belt will not spin a new roller at full speed.
