Where two duct sections meet inside a Hoover Conquest there is a gasket keeping the airflow inside the path it is supposed to take. Part 34253013 replaces it.
Gaskets fail by hardening. Years of warm air passing over rubber leaves it brittle, it takes a permanent set in the shape of the channel, and eventually it cracks or tears when the duct is disturbed for service. From there the machine leaks air at the seam, which reads at the nozzle as suction that has fallen off for no obvious reason: bag empty, filter clean, brush roll turning.
It fits the Hoover Conquest C1119, C1119080, C1800, C1800010, C1800020 and C1815. Wipe both mating faces clean before setting the new gasket into its channel, because grit trapped under a fresh seal holds the joint open just as effectively as a torn one.
