Part 92001006 is the 15-inch hood for the Hoover C1660900 - the moulded top cover over the nozzle that closes the machine in and keeps the air path where it belongs.
Hoods take the abuse. They crack at the mounting points from being knocked into door frames and dropped down stairs, and once cracked they rattle, flex under the handle, and leave the parts underneath exposed. On a machine that is otherwise sound, a broken hood is what makes it look and feel finished.
Check the model number on the data plate before ordering, because hoods are sized to the nozzle width and a 15-inch hood will not sit on a machine built around a different one. Look over the clips and fasteners while the old hood is off; they usually break at the same time and are easy to miss.
