The Purplicius Metallic hood and nozzle assembly, Hoover part 522233006, is the front cover fitted to the FH50026. Same moulding the machine left the factory with, in the matching finish.
If yours is cracked or has lost a tab, the repair is worth doing for reasons beyond appearance. The hood seals the front of the machine and shapes the nozzle opening, so damage there lets air in where it should not be and leaves covered parts uncovered.
Colour is the thing to double-check before ordering. This assembly is produced in several finishes across the range, and only the FH50026 takes Purplicius Metallic. Clip it onto the original mounting points and press until it sits flush all the way along.
