Hood and nozzle assembly in Sage Metallic for the Hoover FH50025, part 522233005. It is the moulded front section of the machine, forming the nozzle opening and covering the works behind it.
Hoods crack at the mounting tabs, usually after a fall or a hard knock against a stair nosing. A broken one is more than cosmetic. The panel forms part of the path air takes at the nozzle, so a cracked or badly seated hood leaks and softens pickup, and it leaves the internals open to whatever the machine is working in.
Match the colour as well as the part number. The same assembly is produced in more than one finish for different models in this range. Line the tabs up and press it home along the original seams.
