Product details
This is the geared brush roll motor for Hoover WindTunnel Air and Air Steerable power nozzles, part 741565001. It is a metal-bodied motor with a geared shaft that drives the nozzle's belt, and it is the part that actually turns the brush roll on these machines.
When a WindTunnel Air stops agitating, the belt gets the blame first and the motor second. If the belt is unbroken and correctly seated and the roller still will not move under power, the motor has gone, usually after the gradual slowdown and hot smell that come before it.
It covers the UH70400, UH70401, UH70402, UH70403PC, UH70404 and UH70405 WindTunnel Air uprights, along with the UH72400, UH72401 and UH72409 Air Steerable machines. Unplug the vacuum and free the nozzle from the body before starting; the motor sits under the belt cover with its geared shaft facing the pulley.
