Built for the Hoover Air Steerable, this genuine OEM 11 amp motor assembly (part #440004063) fits the UH72400, UH72401, and UH72409. The motor drives the fan that generates suction and airflow through the machine.
Grinding sounds, a burning odor, or sudden power loss usually mean the motor has reached the end of its service life. A failing motor cannot pull the airflow the machine was designed for, so cleaning power drops off. Installing a correct-rated motor restores the proper RPM and returns the vacuum to full suction.
