Five small brush roll bearings, Kirby part 156393S, for the G4 and G5 and the machines built on the same brush roll: the Generation 6, Ultimate G, Diamond Edition, Sentria, Sentria II, Avalir, Avalir 2 and Avalir Platinum.
Bearings are what let the roll spin freely under the belt's tension. As they dry out and wear, the roll starts to drag, and the belt pays for it. A bearing that has seized will burn a belt through in minutes. Before that point you will hear a squeal or rumble from the nozzle, feel the roll resist when you spin it by hand, or notice the belt running hot.
The five pack is deliberate. Replace them as a set during a brush roll service instead of chasing one bad bearing at a time.
