This is the headlight lens for the Kirby Generation series, part 108589, the clear cover sitting over the bulb at the front of the machine. It fits the Kirby Generation 3 and G4.
Lenses on these vacuums are casualties of ordinary use. They crack when the machine is tipped into a door frame, cloud over from years of heat off the lamp, and sometimes disappear entirely during a bag or belt change. A Kirby with a broken lens still cleans, but the headlight is the reason you can see what you are cleaning under a bed or along a skirting board.
Fitting a new lens takes seconds and costs very little. If your Kirby is a later Generation machine rather than a Gen 3 or G4, check the lens part number for your model first, because Kirby changed the lens across the series.
