Kirby Nut for Cord Hook - D...
$6.99
Product details
The cord hook on a Kirby Tradition is held to the machine by one small threaded nut, and this is that nut, carried in the Kirby hardware schematic as D80/13 and ordered under part number 175168S.
It is the kind of piece nobody thinks about until it is gone. The nut backs off over years of wrapping and unwrapping the cord, the hook starts to swivel instead of holding, and eventually it drops off in the closet along with the nut. From then on the cord will not stay wound and swings loose against the bag and the floor. A correct nut pulls the hook back down tight against its stud.
Because it is so easy to lose during a handle or bag service, buying a spare alongside the one you need is cheap insurance. Fit it by hand and snug it down; no special tool is needed.
