Fitted to the Kirby Tradition and Tradition 3CB, this replacement belt lifter hook (Part #144279) secures the belt lifter in its raised or lowered position. It holds the brush roll in the mode you select.
When the hook wears down or snaps, the belt lifter drifts between positions on its own and brush roll control becomes unreliable. A fresh hook clicks firmly into place and holds, so the lifter stays where you set it. Dependable latching is what keeps carpet and bare-floor switching predictable.
