Product details
Part 211093S mounts on the hose end of a Kirby Generation 4 and mates to the machine port, carrying air both directions: pulled in through the attachments on suction duty, and pushed out through the inflator on blower duty.
This joint comes apart and goes back together more often than any other connection on the machine, since switching between tool use and direct-nozzle cleaning means pulling it off and pushing it back on. That much handling eventually wears the collar smooth or opens a hairline split in the plastic, and the fitting stops locking down tight. You will feel it as a hose end that wiggles loose at the tool, or notice it as air escaping at the machine itself instead of traveling down the hose when the machine is switched to blower mode.
Fits the Kirby Generation 4 only. With the old connector off, look over the mating surface on the machine port before fitting the new one; a worn or scored port face will keep leaking air even with a brand-new connector seated on it.
While the port is exposed, wipe it down and look over the hose end that plugs into it too, since a connector this worn is often paired with a hose fitting that has taken the same years of handling. Compare the old connector against the new one on the bench before fitting it, so any difference in shape or depth turns up there rather than after the hose is back on the machine.
