This kit (B317-0000K) replaces the printed circuit board in the ultralightweight upright platform shared by the Riccar RSL4, the Simplicity F3600 and the CleanMax ZM-400. The board handles the switching between the power inlet and the motor, so a failure here takes the whole machine out even though the motor itself may be fine.
It is supplied as a kit, which means the board arrives with what is needed to install it rather than as a bare component. Typical failure signs are a vacuum that is dead with a known-good cord, one that cuts out when the handle or cord is flexed, or a machine that will not hold a speed setting.
