A chevron-style agitating brush spins at 1000 RPM across a 9.5 in. brush width, and the 1.6 hp vacuum motor behind it is rated at 92 inches of waterlift and 110 CFM. On small jobs those recovery numbers matter more than tank size, because the customer is usually waiting in the next room for the carpet to be walkable again.
Powr-Flite gives it a folding handle and a lift-off recovery tank shaped so waste water does not slosh on the way to a sink, which means the machine stores upright in a closet and empties without a floor drain. It weighs 51 lbs, so one person gets it up a flight of stairs.
