SEBO Hose Retaining Ring for AIRBELT K2 Canisters — Gray Black

A K2 hose run carries two retaining rings, and the two are not interchangeable. 6612GS is the gray black collar down at the machine, item 42 on the AIRBELT K parts sheet, where it locks the hose coupling into the canister and stops it working loose under a pull. The other ring lives up at the handle and carries the number 6303GS.

What goes wrong is a split, usually starting where the collar grips hardest. Once it has cracked, the coupling begins to rock in its port, and the machine begins drawing part of its air straight in at that joint instead of up the hose. Suction at the nozzle falls away with no visible cause: the bag is fine, the filters are fine, the motor sounds normal. Working the coupling by hand with the machine running is the quickest test, since the fault is felt rather than seen. Anyone chasing lost pull on a K2 that still has a sound hose should rule this ring out first.

The parts around it on the same diagram put it in context. Position 35 is the complete hose assembly 6447GS, a seven-foot hose complete with handle, coupling and its own ring, and the coupling plugs into suction neck 6675GS behind the port. At the far end of the run, the stainless telescopic tube is 6237ER with fitting neck 1736GS, sliding knob 6425ER and locking mechanism 6238ER, and the handle grip complete with its own ring is 6300GS.
