Rainbow Water Pan Latch Spring - E Series

Part R7141B is the latch spring for the water pan on a Rainbow E series machine. It supplies the tension that holds the pan clamped to the canister, it pairs with the R8063 latch assembly, and the same spring serves either side, left or right.

When the spring weakens or breaks, the latch stops snapping shut with any authority. The pan sits loose, you get water on the floor or a drop in suction because the seal is no longer being pulled down evenly, and eventually the pan lets go when the machine is picked up by its handle.

It fits the E, the E2 Silver and the E2 Gold. It will not fit the Black series introduced in 2011, nor the D2, D3, D4C or SE machines. One thing to know before you start: the old latch pin has to be reused, since it is no longer available on its own.
