Part B470-2100 is the right-side pivot bushing for MV-series Riccar and Simplicity uprights, molded in black. It is the bushing on its own, sold individually rather than as a pair or as part of the joint assembly around it.
A worn bushing gives itself away in how the joint feels and sounds: side-to-side play, an audible knock when the vacuum is turned, or a pivot that has gone gritty instead of smooth. Fitting a new one brings back a tight, quiet swing at that joint.
Because both sides of the joint see the same use, it is worth inspecting the opposite side while the joint is open rather than opening it twice. Order that part by its own number if it is also worn, since the left and right bushings are separate listings.
