The screw itself is a cross-recessed pan head tapping screw with a flat F point, 3.9 mm in diameter and 13 mm long. It cuts its own thread in the plastic boss it enters, which means it is a consumable: the boss loses a little material each time the screw comes out, and a fastener refitted for the fourth time often will not pull down at all. Renewing the set during a strip-down takes no extra time and removes the most common cause of a panel that will not sit flat afterwards. Keep it apart from part 01021, the DIN 968 screw of the same nominal size, since the two are not interchangeable despite measuring alike.
