This grey short power-nozzle neck (Part #40350, superseding old part #4217-02) is the pivoting neck section that connects the wand to the power head, allowing the nozzle to swivel and lay flat for cleaning under furniture. A cracked or stiff neck makes the power head hard to steer and can interrupt the electrical path to the brushroll, so a fresh neck restores smooth articulation and a solid connection.
