Rather than a single molding, 5175UL arrives as the complete swivel neck for the AUTOMATIC X1 and AUTOMATIC X2, with slider 5328OR already fitted. The neck is the joint between the upright body and the power head: it lets the handle recline and steer while the head stays flat on the floor, and it carries the electrical connection down to the brush motor at the same time. The slider is the piece that keeps that connection made while the neck is being twisted from side to side.
Three complaints usually lead to this assembly. Play in the joint, so the handle feels loose and the machine wanders off line as it is pushed.
