Hardware item 7BF030: a 10-24 nylon-insert lock nut in 18-8 stainless steel. The nylon collar moulded into the top of the nut grips the bolt threads and resists the vibration that walks a plain nut loose on a running machine.
18-8 is the austenitic stainless grade used where a fastener has to shrug off moisture, and on cleaning equipment that means water, detergent and whatever the floor was holding. A rusted-in fastener turns a ten-minute service job into an extraction job.
