Wand, hose and upholstery nozzle: set 1999AM is the DART and FELIX grouping, built from the 22 in. extension wand (1084GS), the gray/black upholstery nozzle (1491GS) and the stretch hose of 9 ft 2 in. (1495AM). Where the earlier FELIX set carried a dusting brush, this one carries the fabric tool instead, and that single substitution is what separates the two part numbers.
The swap suits a household with soft furnishings to keep on top of. The hose takes suction to the sofa and up the staircase, the nozzle spreads that airflow across cushion faces and mattress panels so the weave gives up its grit without being dragged, and the wand adds the height needed for door frames, picture rails and the top of a curtain run. The nozzle is a push fit, so changing between it and the bare wand takes a second.
For a DART or a FELIX Premium bought without accessories this is the tidiest single order, and each piece remains available on its own if only one has gone missing. Owners who would rather have the horsehair dusting brush in the third slot should look at 1998AM, the older FELIX grouping, which is otherwise built from the same wand and hose.
The parts that give out first are predictable. A hose develops a pinhole at a flex point or takes a permanent kink behind the cuff and quietly bleeds off pull; an upholstery nozzle chips along the lip and stops sealing against the cloth. Neither failure looks like much, and both are regularly mistaken for a tired machine.
