Owners tracking down a noisy brush roll on an ESSENTIAL G upright normally end up at this part. Number 5031HG is the right hand bearing block in light gray and dark gray, the seat the roll turns in at that end of the power head.

It fits the SEBO ESSENTIAL G1, ESSENTIAL G2, ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5. A block that has worn lets the roll rattle in its housing, and the noise gets worse under load as the bristles bite into carpet rather than skimming it. Side play at that end also pulls the belt off its line, so a machine that keeps throwing or fraying belts is often reporting a bearing fault rather than a belt fault. Because both ends of the roll accumulate the same running hours, it is worth pulling the left-hand block, 5766HG, at the same time and replacing the pair if either shows play.

While the head is open, the drive and consumables are quick to check. Belts 5110 and 5463 turn the roll, motor pulley 5462 and pulley cover 5112SW sit behind them, and 5117/1 covers the sensor and motor pulleys as a pair. Brush rollers 5010AM and 5010GE, the second in soft bristle, are listed for the ESSENTIAL G1 and ESSENTIAL G4, and 8366WS is the tool for cutting wound hair off any of them. On the filtration side these machines take bag box 5093AM, microfilter 5036AM with HEPA 5812ER and anti-odor 5425AM as alternatives, exhaust filter 2846 behind cover 2820GS, and filter safety catch 5208.
