This genuine OEM brush roll motor drives the agitator brush on the Bissell 2849, Bissell 2999, Bissell 3000. If your brush roll has stopped spinning while the vacuum still has suction, this motor is likely the component that needs replacement.
Brush roll motors can fail separately from the main suction motor. Symptoms include a non-spinning brush roll, a burning smell from the base of the vacuum, or a humming sound when the brush roll is engaged. This motor is built to OEM specifications for a direct fit.
