The grooved-type brush roll for Bissell MultiClean and Lift-Off Pet uprights, part 1624041. The grooved profile at the drive end is what the toothed belt sits in — this roll pairs with belt 1625646, and the two are designed as a set.
Grooved drive means the roll turns at the speed the motor dictates instead of slipping when the pile gets thick, so wear shows in the bristles rather than in lost drive. When those bristles go short and rounded, pet hair stops coming out of carpet and stays woven into it, no matter how many passes you make.
It fits the Bissell 2849, 2852, 2998, 2999, 3000, 3057 and 3059, and the 3125W Healthy Home Lift-Off Pet. Fit a fresh belt at the same time — an old belt on a new roll will not hold the groove for long, and the pairing is what keeps agitation consistent.
