This genuine Bissell Separator Assembly in black (Part #163-1289) is the cyclonic separator that sits inside the dirt tank of select CleanView and PowerForce upright vacuums. It spins incoming airflow to fling dust and debris into the bin while keeping the suction path clear, which is central to how these bagless uprights hold suction during use.
A clogged, cracked, or worn separator can cause weak suction, debris blow-back into the tank lid, or premature filter loading. Replacing it restores proper cyclonic separation and the strong pickup these models are known for.
