Product details
Dirty tank cover gasket, Bissell part 1608694, for the Bissell CrossWave range. It fits the 1785 machines and their variants, the 2306 and 2328 Pet Pro models, and the 2551 cordless.
This is the seal on the lid of the recovery tank, the tank that takes back dirty water, hair and grit. It is the only thing between that and the rest of the machine, and it works in exactly the conditions rubber hates: repeatedly soaked, dried and clamped shut. Once it takes a set or splits, the tank stops holding vacuum, so recovery drops off and dirty water finds its way out around the lid.
If the CrossWave is leaving the floor wetter than it used to, and there is grime seeping around the tank lid, replace the gasket before pulling anything else apart.
