Bissell part 1608022 is the wood floor brush roll for the CrossWave range, fitting the 1785 machines, the 2306 and 2328 Pet Pro models and the 2551 cordless. It is the gentler roller of the set, meant for sealed hard floors rather than rugs.
The bristles here are doing a mopping job as much as a sweeping one, carrying formula onto the boards, lifting the dirt and handing it to the suction slot behind. Once they splay or pack down with residue that hand-off breaks, and you get the familiar CrossWave complaint: wet streaks and a film left drying on the floor instead of a clean, quickly drying pass.
Rinse and air dry it in the tray after each use. Bristles left standing in dirty water lose their set and never scrub the same way again.
