Product details
Solution pump for the Bissell SpotBot, part 1608324. It fits the 2114 and 1711 machines along with the 21142, 21143, 2117, 21178 and 2117A SpotBot and SpotBot Pet cleaners.
The pump is what pressurises the formula and pushes it down onto the stain during an automatic cycle. When it fails you get a machine that runs its full cycle, makes all the right noises and leaves the spot dry, or wets it unevenly, spraying hard for a second and then trailing off. Scale and dried formula are the usual killers, especially on a machine that has sat unused with solution still in the lines.
Flushing a tank of plain water through after each use is the best thing you can do for the new one. Unplug the machine before opening it to get at the pump.
