Product details

Part 491447 is the replacement electronic control module for the Bosch BSG81313UC canister vacuum, the central board that runs the machine's electronic controls.

A board nearing failure tends to show more than one symptom rather than a single clean break. Watch for the machine cutting off on its own without warning, buttons on the panel that stop responding to input, error indicators lighting up with no obvious trigger, or a motor speed that drifts up and down without anyone touching the control. When the BSG81313UC shows two or more of these at once and simpler causes such as a clogged filter or a pinched hose have already been checked and ruled out, the control board becomes the far more likely source.

Because a single board manages so much of the machine's behavior in one place, swapping it usually clears several seemingly unrelated faults in a single repair rather than chasing them down one at a time across different parts of the machine. Technicians who replace individual sensors or switches first, before checking the board, often end up doing the board swap anyway once the isolated fixes fail to hold.

On a canister that is otherwise in sound working order, putting in a new board is generally the more sensible route compared with retiring a machine whose motor and housing still have years of use left in them.
