Riccar Long Brush Insert, 5 Inch, for R10CV.6 and CleanMax ZM800

This is a replacement brush insert, a 5 inch bristle strip, listed for the Riccar R10CV.6 and CleanMax ZM800 uprights.

Bristles flatten with regular use, and once an insert wears down it stops reaching into carpet pile to lift dirt and pet hair. Fitting a fresh insert restores that bite without replacing the whole brush roll.

Because the insert is a strip rather than the full roller, clear the brush roll of wound hair and thread before fitting a new one. Hair that has wrapped tight around a roller stays put through ordinary use, holds bristles down, and produces the same patchy cleaning that a worn insert does, so replacing the insert without clearing that first can leave the original complaint exactly where it was.
