A new rattle from inside the body of an AUTOMATIC X7 or X8 often traces back to a hardened buffer rather than to anything in the drive. Part 52112 is the cushion between the motor cover and the structure around it, drawn as the buffer for the motor housing at position 123 in SEBO's combined AUTOMATIC X7/X8 parts diagram.
The motor vibrates continuously while the machine runs, and this buffer is what stops that vibration reaching the surrounding plastic. Rubber stiffens with heat and age, and once it has, the cover taps against its seat, the noise climbs, and fixings nearby begin to work loose. Nothing dramatic fails; the machine simply gets louder and looser over a season or two. A fresh buffer is a small part that puts the damping back, and it is worth fitting any time the motor cover 52059UL is off for other work.
Its place in the assembly is easy to confirm on the diagram. The motor itself, 52194ER, sits at position 109 with its support seal 52013 and rubber mounting 5100 around it, and the buffer sits above all of that under the cover. SEBO also builds this buffer into the AUTOMATIC X7 chassis 52195GS, which the diagram lists at position 130 as including positions 120 and 123 — so anyone replacing that chassis already has a new buffer arriving with it and does not need to order 52112 separately.
