These white cloth carpet bonnets are replacement pads for the Orbiter floor machine. The bonnet attaches under the machine's drive pad and carries cleaning solution across the carpet as the head rotates.
Bonnet pads absorb soil and gradually become saturated and matted, at which point they stop lifting dirt and can just push it around. Rotating in a fresh, clean bonnet restores effective agitation and soil pickup. Keeping spares on hand means you can swap a loaded pad mid-job.
