This water-lift suction gauge (SKU TDGAGE03) measures the vacuum pull of a central vacuum system on a scale of 0 to 200 inches of water column (0 to 508 cm). Water lift is the reading technicians rely on to confirm how strongly a power unit draws at the inlet.
Connect it at a wall inlet or at the unit's intake to check performance during a new installation, a motor replacement, or a troubleshooting call. A low or falling number usually points to a clogged filter, an air leak in the PVC tubing, or a tired motor that needs service.
