SEBO Clamp for the Axle Thrust Member Spring — G Series and 300/350

Springs only do useful work while something keeps them captive. Part 2856 is the clamp that traps the axle thrust member spring on SEBO's ESSENTIAL G uprights and on the 300 and 350 Mechanical machines, holding it loaded in exactly the spot the chassis was designed around. Fitment runs across the ESSENTIAL G1, ESSENTIAL G2, ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5 as well as the 300 MECHANICAL and 350 MECHANICAL.

Look for it at position 107 in the SEBO 300/350 Mechanical drawing and at position 137 on the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 sheet. The chain it belongs to is short and easy to picture: the spring pushes the thrust member, the thrust member loads the pile adjustment axle, and the axle sets how low the brush sits in the carpet. Take the clamp out of that chain and the spring goes slack or jumps its seat, which shows up as a height control with no resistance behind it and a nozzle that will not stay where it was set.

Photograph how the spring lies before the old clamp is released — reassembly goes much faster when the original orientation is not being reconstructed from memory, and a spring that escapes on the bench is easy to refit backwards.
