SEBO Cover Release Cap for ...

Product details
Small parts take the heaviest handling. 5803HG is the light gray cap that finishes the cover release on an ESSENTIAL G1 or ESSENTIAL G2, and it is the piece a thumb lands on every single time the bag compartment gets opened, so it wears out ahead of most of the mouldings surrounding it.
It gives up in one of two ways. Either the clip legs behind the visible face lose their spring, at which point the cap becomes loose in normal use and eventually parts company with the machine — it usually reappears later in the bag chamber — or the face itself splits after a knock, leaving the release beneath it bare and unfinished. Refitting a new one is done by hand with nothing to unscrew.
With the cap removed, try the release underneath before putting things back together. A bag door that has turned stiff or vague is far more often the mechanism than the trim covering it, and SEBO catalogues that mechanism separately under 5706GS. Working out which of the two is at fault before ordering avoids a second order a fortnight later.

Between them those numbers account for most of the visible light gray plastic on these two uprights, and since each is catalogued on its own, one broken moulding never drags a whole assembly with it. Genuine SEBO part, shipping in 2–5 business days.
