Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

A stretched or snapped belt is the most common reason a Dirt Devil canister vacuum stops driving its brush roll, and this two-pack of style 3 belts, part 3210395001, replaces it. Two belts are included so you have a spare on hand once the first one wears through, since canister belts tend to fail at inconvenient times rather than on a predictable schedule.
This belt fits the Dirt Devil SD40005 and 082123 canister models, machines sold under the Power Pak, Breeze and Vision Bagless lines. On these canisters the belt sits inside the powerhead, looping the motor shaft to the brush roll spindle, and it is usually the first part to fail well before the motor itself shows any wear, since rubber degrades with heat and flex long before the motor's bearings and windings do.
A belt announces itself before it lets go completely: the brush roll turns slower than it used to, spins only when you press down on carpet, or the machine develops a faint rubber smell as the belt heats up while slipping. Replace it at the first sign of slipping rather than waiting for it to snap, since a slipping belt drags on the motor and can glaze the pulley surface, making the next belt wear out faster too.
