Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

Shipping and refunds

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Replace a cracked or damaged brush bar motor cover with genuine Dyson part 911280-02 for the Dyson DC17 upright vacuum. This molded cover fits over the brush bar motor in the cleaner head and helps protect it from dirt and debris.

What is included?

  • One genuine Dyson brush bar motor cover, part 911280-02.
  • Cover only: motor, brush bar, belt and clear brush housing 911279-02 are not included.
  • This is not a complete cleaner head or replacement motor.

Compatibility and ordering

For Dyson DC17 upright vacuums, including DC17 Animal. Check the model on your machine and compare your original cover with the product photo before ordering. Do not select this part solely because your vacuum is labeled “Animal”; other Dyson Animal models use different parts.

If your brush bar has stopped turning, confirm the failed component before ordering: replacing the cover alone will not repair a failed motor or worn belt. Unplug the vacuum before inspection or service.
