The complete floor brush for the Rainbow D4, part R8058: the whole tool, not just the bristle strip. It fits the D4, D4C, D4CSE and D4SE, and it is also listed for the Rainbow E series.
This is the tool for bare floors and low rugs, where the bristles reach down and lift dirt rather than dragging a hard lip over it. Replace the tool when the housing has cracked at the neck, when the swivel has gone slack, or when the sole no longer meets the floor flat, because at that point it skates over fine dust instead of sweeping it in.
If the body is still sound and only the bristles are finished, the bristle strip is sold separately, so it is worth looking the tool over before replacing the whole thing.
