The electric telescopic wand, part 83N, is the standard powered wand supplied with Sirena canister vacuums, including model 1902. It does two jobs at once: it carries suction down to the floor head and passes the electrical supply through to the power nozzle, while telescoping so the same wand works standing upright or reaching under a sofa.
Wands take knocks. A dented tube stops the telescoping sections sliding smoothly, a crack near either cuff leaks air and costs you suction at the head, and worn electrical contacts show up as a power nozzle that stutters or dies while the canister keeps running.
It can be stacked with the non-electric extension wand when you need more reach than the telescope alone gives, for high ceilings, stairwells and the tops of cupboards. Check that your machine takes the Sirena electric wand before ordering.
