Power reaches the power nozzle on a Eureka 6993A Europa through a three-prong receptacle in the canister body, and part 606061 replaces it. It is the socket the power nozzle cord plugs into, not the cord itself.

Contacts inside a receptacle spread and burn after years of plugging and unplugging. The symptom is a power nozzle that cuts out when you flex the hose, works only at a certain angle, or has gone dead altogether while the canister motor still runs normally. Scorch marks or a melted socket face mean it has been arcing and needs to come out.

Unplug the vacuum before you start, and move the leads across one at a time so every wire returns to the terminal it left. Test the nozzle before you close the body back up.
