Part 579006 is a full base assembly built for the Eureka and Sanitaire 684F, the newer design that positions its rear wheels outboard of the housing wall rather than tucked inside it. An earlier version of the same base mounts the wheels inward instead, so match your current base against this style before placing an order.
Everything the machine rolls on lives in this one molded piece: it cradles the brush roll, sets the clearance between the roll and the carpet, and closes off the underside of the suction path. Once it cracks near a wheel post, the head starts to scrape, rattle, or pull unevenly along one side, and on machines run daily in commercial settings the wheel mounts are typically the first spot to give out.
This base is built for the SC684F and C2094FB across both the Eureka and Sanitaire badges. With the machine already opened up to swap the base, take the chance to check the brush roll bearings and the drive belt for wear as well, since both sit fully exposed once the base plate comes off, and doing both jobs in one sitting saves reopening the housing again a few months later.
A base that has only started to crack rather than fully separate can sometimes still be run for a while, but the crack tends to widen with vibration, so treat a hairline split as a countdown rather than something to leave indefinitely.
