Part 2846 is the exhaust filter for SEBO's ESSENTIAL G uprights, drawn as position 101 in the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 parts diagram. It also carries the older reference 53-2302-07, which may well be the number printed on the filter currently in your machine: the same part, catalogued twice across a long production run.
Fits the ESSENTIAL G1, G2, G4 and G5. SEBO's guidance for these uprights is a fresh exhaust filter roughly every twenty bag changes, which in most buildings works out at one or two a year, though a commercial round gets there considerably faster than a household does. No tools are involved: the housing releases and the pad lifts straight out.
Cleaners tend to notice this filter by smell and by the feel of the air coming off the machine rather than by looking at it. A loaded pad pushes back against the flow, so the upright does less at the carpet for the same amount of pushing, and whatever the media has been holding starts making itself known in the room instead.

Order this one against the ESSENTIAL G model on the machine rather than against the number printed on the old filter, since both 2846 and 53-2302-07 turn up in the field and describe the same exhaust pad. Doing the pre-motor microfilter at the same time is the sensible pairing, because a G upright that has run twenty bags has aged both stages equally.
