Part 1008 is Bissell's Style 1008 filter pack for the CleanView upright line, supplied as a replacement set rather than as a single filter. It is the pack to order when a CleanView has gone quiet on pickup and the bin, belt and brush roll have already been ruled out.
Filter media on a machine like this loads quietly rather than failing outright. Suction drops a little each week instead of all at once, so by the time an upright feels noticeably weak the media has usually been restricting airflow for a while, and a musty note off the exhaust tends to arrive later still. Washing buys some time, but media does not come back to full capacity after a few cycles of wetting and drying, which is why it is treated as a replacement item and sold as a set rather than something to keep cleaning indefinitely.

Rinse anything washable in cool water and let it dry through before it goes back in. Media put back damp traps dust in clumps rather than spreading it across the surface, and it holds odor until it has dried out completely. Match the style number on what comes out of the machine against this pack before ordering, since a filter of similar size is not necessarily the same style.
